Collectors Guild Days Gone 1932 AEC Double Decker Bus

This limited-edition diecast model from The Collectors Guild “Days Gone” series recreates a 1932 AEC Double Decker Bus of the Glasgow Corporation (fleet number DG049024). Part of Series One – Part One, issued in February 2003, it is certified as one of only 4000 pieces produced (this example numbered 0078).

The model features authentic Glasgow Corporation livery with detailed period signage, including the famous wartime poster reproduction on the side: “Hitler will send no warning—so always carry your gas mask” (issued by the Ministry of Home Security, referencing 1941 ARP regulations and blackout/gas mask campaigns). The bus is presented in a protective plastic sleeve with a descriptive card detailing WWII historical context, Air Raid Precautions (ARP), Anderson shelters, and the role of Ministry of Information posters.
