Description
Félag íslenskra leikskólakennara
Yellow enamel pin from Félag íslenskra leikskólakennara, the Association of Icelandic Preschool Teachers. The organisation traces its roots to 1950, when the first association for fóstrur (the earlier title for preschool educators) was founded. In 1994 the professional title officially changed from fóstra to leikskólakennari and the association adopted the name Félag íslenskra leikskólakennara. It later became part of Kennarasamband Íslands. The pin features the association’s green logo of a stylised figure under a roof form with text in Icelandic.
