1956 Esperanto congress Copenhagen cinderella label

This charming vintage cinderella label (non-postal vignette/poster stamp) commemorates the 41st Universal Congress of Esperanto (41-a Universala Kongreso de Esperanto), held in Copenhagen, Denmark, from August 4–11, 1956. Organized by the Universal Esperanto Association (UEA), the event drew thousands of speakers from around the world to promote the international auxiliary language.

The design centers on the historic coat of arms of Copenhagen—three red towers with green roofs on wavy blue-green water, topped by a golden crown—and incorporates the iconic green Esperanto star below.
