1972 Fischer Spassky Viking postcard

This is a commemorative postcard issued by Skáksamband Íslands (Icelandic Chess Federation) for the 1972 World Chess Championship match between Boris Spassky (USSR) and Bobby Fischer (USA) held in Reykjavík.

The front features a color caricature illustration by artist Ragnar Lár (signed “CR.LÁR.”) depicting Fischer and Spassky as Viking warriors in combat: Fischer (left) in beige tunic with green trim holding a spear, Spassky (right) in red tunic with shield and sword.
