Vertíð í Vestmannaeyjum
Black and white photographic card from the Íslenzkar Landslagsmyndir series issued by Westminster Tobacco Co. Ltd London. Card number 48 shows the fishing season (vertíð) in the Westman Islands (Vestmannaeyjum) with a busy harbor scene, numerous boats, fishermen working on the shore with carts, and steep cliffs in the background. The caption at the bottom reads “VERTÍÐ Í VESTMANNAEYJUM”. The reverse text in Icelandic states that this photograph is one of 50 included in each pack of their cigarettes.
