This is a Norwegian Army cap badge from the reign of King Olav V. It is made of bronze (or silvered copper in some variants) by Aksel Holmsen. The front shows a crowned oval containing the letter “V”, surrounded by an oak-leaf wreath. The reverse has two screw posts for attachment and the maker mark “AKSEL HOLMSEN”.
